The Scoop

Is Rosalie’s Zero Suds environmentally safe?

Zero Suds is made in the U.S.A. and comes as a compact powder in a cardboard cube where all packaging is recyclable. We manufacture one cube that can hold three different sizes of product to fit all budgets. Our formula requires no heated transport or storage; is lighter to transport; and has a four-year shelf life. All this gives Rosalie’s a smaller carbon footprint.

Since we use no bleach, no optical brighteners, no peroxides we've had many of our customers in northern New England use it safely with their septic systems. Rosalie's deep cleans with enzymes which are environmentally sound.

How does the price of Rosalie’s Zero Suds compare to other leading brands?

We try to source domestically everything that we can. Your laundry dollar goes completely to cleaning your clothes, and you are not buying any water to lug home (that is already in your machine!). If there are suds in your current routine then you are buying wasted cleaning power. Suds do not clean clothes!

And, because Rosalie’s rinses out so well you won’t need to buy additional cleaning agents that are designed to clean your washing machine!

What are dosage guidelines for my laundry using Rosalie’s Zero Suds?

Rosalie’s is a hyper concentrated powder that can be used in ANY machine, including the new high efficiency (“HE”) machines, and older top load machines. Our scoop is just under 1 tablespoon of powder for a full load in a new “HE” machine. Dosing amounts can vary due to soil level of the laundry (light, medium, heavy); water hardness in your area; and the amount of clothing in your load.

For normal soil levels, we recommend the “laundry-master” use 1 scoop in hot or warm water on the wash cycle. We do not recommend cold water washing as this will not remove grease and oils from clothing - up to 90% of soil in a normal family load! For older top loading machines start with 2 scoops for a full load, these machines can use up to 17 gallons for each wash cycle.

If you want to check your dose - the wash water should feel slippery between your fingers after few minutes and you should see Zero or practically Zero Suds. When that happens, you have the right dose for that load and dirt level.

These guidelines should help you to conserve powder, take care of your clothes and machine, and get a brightly clean wash.

Do you offer a spot cleaning product?

Rosalie’s Zero Suds is a great spot cleaner! For spotting something like a thanksgiving tablecloth stained with wine, gravy, and cranberries, spot treat the stains as per these instructions: Wet the spot with a teaspoon of water. Then take some Rosalie’s powder and put on top of the spot and push it into the spot with the back of the spoon. Let sit only 20-30 minutes and then launder as usual with a full scoop in the machine as well. If you decide to wash one item alone in the washer at this dose, minimal suds maybe present for part of the wash cycle but will be gone completely by the rinse and cycles end.

Stay tuned as we are working on a tough new spot treatment prewash from Rosalie’s.

What sizes and prices are available for Rosalie’s Zero Suds?

Rosalie’s comes in one size cube that is compact enough that a customer holding a baby in one arm can place a cube in their cart with the other! In that one cube we produce 3 different sizes so you can pick your price point. 50 Loads currently retails around $15-$17, 80 Loads for around $21-$23, and 100 Loads for around $24-$26. Prices may vary with merchant and local sales taxes. Or purchase online here.

Is the product safe for sensitive skin?

We have tested Rosalie’s on hundreds of customers, friends and family, and have not had any issues with any skin irritations. We have not tested it on the dog!  As a matter of fact, the inventor and owner of the company, Jon Charles has super sensitive skin! He has been very aware all along the development of Rosalie’s to produce a non-irritating formula for his customers. That said we still have requests for a fragrance free product, which is now in production for those worried about fragrances. Of course if you have an allergy, please consult our ingredients list and check with your physician before using this or any product.
